Authority to Overcome

Title: Authority to Overcome
Text Verse: Luke 10:19 – I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
Supporting Verses: Matthew 28:18 – All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Jesus; Romans 8:37 – We are more than conquerors through Christ

Are we using the Authority that God has given us?
Authority in the original language Greek ‘exousia’ means jurisdiction or dominion over a certain realm, right, privilege, or ability.

Ito ay nangangahulugan na meron tayong kapangyarihan na magbigay ng legal na desisyon at hatol.
Remember in Genesis, God has given us dominion – legal right. Ang tao lang meron nito. Spirits are illegal. They need a body to operate in this realm. Kaya kung anong spiritu ang daladala mo yung ang makikita o mahahayag.

What are the truths about our Authority?

1. Jesus Christ has restored our Authority. Dahil sa kasalanan nawala ang ‘dominion’ or ‘authority’ na binigay ng Diyos. Pero dahil sa pagibig Niya sa atin ay nabayaran ang ating kasalanan at naibalik tayo sa dating posisyon natin. He is our Source of Authority. Sa Kanya nanggaling.
2. He has given it to us and we already have it. God did not only redeem us and stay that way. Jesus did not preach about salvation. Ibig sabihin ang pagkakaligtas natin ay may ‘greater purpose’. Nais ng Diyos na maranasan natin ang ‘abundant life’, ang buhay na puno ng katagumpayan.
3. We are chosen to administer God’s authority on earth. He has called us to be partners with Him, coworkers to advance His kingdom. Lahat ng problema sa mundo ay may solusyon ang Diyos. At tayo ay kasali sa programa ng Panginoon na maranasan ang langit dito sa lupa.

In conclusion, we can use our God-given Authority as we dwell in His Word, stay in His presence, and be lead by the Holy Spirit.
Ang Banal na Spiritu ang magtuturo sa atin ng lahat ng bagay patungkol sa katotohanan. The Lord did not share His secrets to the crowd, but only to His disciples. As we seek Him and draw near to Him, He will surely be found and will draw near to us.

Father in heaven, we thank You for this wonderful amazing day you have created. We will rejoice, be glad and focus on Your goodness. No weapon formed against us shall prosper. Let Your will be done and let heaven invade earth through us. Use us for your glory. In mighty Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and King. Amen.
