Title: Attacks of the enemy

Text verse: John 10:10 ESV “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

God created us to live day by day. Every morning is a fresh new start, a wonderful opportunity to experience God’s goodness, and an amazing privilege to live our lives to bring honor and pleasure to Him.

John 10:10 clearly states that we have an enemy. If we are to ignore him we will be prone to his attacks and schemes that will bring hell on earth. But God wants us to experience heaven on earth. Being aware of the enemy’s operations give us the proper preparation and response, so that we can live effective and victorious lives.

There are three ways the enemy attacks us to remove us from God’s kingdom and to foil God’s plan and vision for us.
The Attacks of the enemy:

1. DISTRACTS US FROM PURSUING GOD’S KINGDOM. Distraction is a goal that seems good but is not right. It seems urgent but never a priority. It steals away your time. It is a hindrance from being productive for the Lord. You can always identify distractions by the result or fruit that it produces in our lives.
   Sa facebook lang minsan hindi mo namalayan 2-3 hours na pala. Pero wala ka na palá. There are also battles not worth fighting for. Assess if this will improve your life and bring glory to God. Kung hindi iwasan mo na lang, hindi lahat pinapatulan.
   We are reminded to fix our eyes on Jesus, on His teaching, on His priorities. It is either we are in God’s will or outside of God’s will. There is no in between.
   Philippians 1:10 NIV “o that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,”
   If we can see things how God sees things and thinks how God thinks we will able to discern what things are weighter in importance. Martha was so busy with many things, but Mary did one thing but it is the right thing.
   Starting the day with seeking God, reading and meditating His Word, asking for guidance makes us more productive than we are by ourselves. Kapag nakasalalay tayo sa Diyos mayroong tayong lakas at talino na nanggagaling sa Kanya.
2. DERAILS US FROM DOING GOD’S WILL. Maraming pagkakataon na kung ikaw ay nasa kalooban ng Diyos mas tumitindi ang mga problema na dumadating. The enemy will unleash all his arsenal to stop you from doing God’s will. Titirahin ka sa weakness mo. But always remember that God is greater. That in your weakness God is your strength. The devil may try but he will never succeed for if God is for you, who can be against you? God wants us to experience the abundant life. Buhay na puno ng pagibig, kagalakan, at kapayapaan.
   Throughout the Scriptures, the men and women of faith always had opposition. God allows this for a reason. Alam mo bang may tiwala sayo ang Diyos. It is not just us who have faith in God. The Lord who is the author and finisher of our faith, trusts us. Kung ano man nararanasan mo ngayon na sitwasyon naniniwala ang Diyos na makakayanan mo yan. Lalong lalo pa na alam mo hindi ka Niya pababayaan. God is our strength.
3. DESTROYS OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD. Ang pinakagusto ng kaaway ay pagdudahan mo ang Diyos. Kapag nangyari ito hindi na magaganap ang kalooban ng Panginoon. Yan ang nangyari kay adan at yan ang patutuloy na ginagawa niya. We have the legal right to rule over the earth on God’s behalf. But if our relationship with Him is removed we cannot fulfill our mandate.
   James 1:7 If you doubt says the Lord expect nothing. Hebrews 11:6 Without faith it is impossible to please God. The enemy spews lies and if we are not careful we may believe it. Hindi mo na panghahawakan ang mga pangako Niya.
   But remember God is faithful to His promises. Numbers 23:19 God is not a man that He should lie. He will fulfill His purpose and we must hold on to Him. Our relationship with God is the most important thing in our lives. Mahal na mahal ka ni Lord kapatid. Lahat ng mabuti iniisip Niya para sayo. Psalm 84:11 He will not withhold any good thing from you.

In conclusion, maging aware tayo sa style ng kaaway. Gusto niyang malayo tayo sa ating Ama. Tandaan natin na maganda ang plano ng Diyos para sa atin. In fact, His dreams for us is difficult to fathom or imagine. Kasi sobrang tindi at laki, hindi sumagi sa ating isip. Katulad ng isang ama o ina na napakaganda ng binabalak at inaayos na plano para sa kanyang anak, ganoon din ang pagmamahal at pagiisip ng maganda ng Diyos para sa atin.
