Unstoppable

Text Verse: Philippians 3:13‭-‬14 NLT
“No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.”

Our God is unstoppable. His Kingdom is unshakeable. And in Him nothing is impossible. His hand is never too short. There is nothing too hard for the Lord. For whatever circumstances that we are experiencing right now, He is always above and beyond it. The God who opens the eyes of the blind, who raises the dead to life, who splits the seas and makes ways when there seems to be none is with us and is for us. He has promised that He will never leave us nor forsake us. Whatever He has spoken and promised is as good as done.
Now, God has a vision for our lives. He has called us to rule and dominate in our area of gifting. With everything that He has blessed us with, He wants us to succeed and be productive. We have different callings and assignments. But we are called to be united as one body to advance His kingdom on earth.
This month is about moving forward to our God-given destiny. The Lord has a specific mission for each of us to a certain location and a certain group of people. David was called to be King of Israel. Moses was called to deliver the oppressed from Pharaoh. Peter was called to administer God’s established church (ekklesia) as Jesus have commanded him. Paul was called as an apostle to the Gentiles. We are called to advance God’s kingdom by ruling in the area of our gifting and giving all the glory to God.

How do we Press On towards God’s destiny for us? How do we Move Forward in Life?

1. DO NOT LOOK BACK. Pinatawad tayo ng Panginoon para maranasan natin ang bagong buhay na binibigay Niya sa atin. Our past mistakes, past relationship, past behavior is already finished. It has already passed and its time for us to move forward. If we keep looking back to where we were, we will not be able to go to where we are supposed to go. This also involves forgiving yourself of the wrong decisions and everything else that condemns you today. But thanks be to God that He gives us a new life and new beginning that we may move forward in life.
2. DO NOT LOSE FOCUS. Distractions and detours should not stop us. There are a lot of distractions thrown at us because the enemy is frightened of what you can accomplish with God. We do not have to die old but we have to die finished. Our Lord Jesus accomplished His mission and He was never distracted. He always had the eternal and heavenly perspective so He was never tempted to have worldly and temporal gains. Focus on God’s prize which is eternal life with Him.
3. DO NOT GIVE UP. There are times that we are overwhelmed by problems and attacks of the enemy. But we need to hold on to God and persevere. Every storm is temporary. It will pass. That is why we need to spend time with the Lord earnestly that we may strengthened every day. We cannot succeed and move forward in this life by our own strength alone. We need God every moment of our lives. He loves us and He wants to empower us to live victoriously.

In closing, it’s time for us to march forward to our calling and destiny. Let us not look back, lose focus and give up. Let us move forward without hesitation knowing that God wants the best for us and He will not lead us to destruction or harm. As we put our full trust and faith in Him, we know no one and nothing will be able to stop us. We can not be stopped because our God is unstoppable.
